Minna Tervamäki is dancer étoile with the Finnish National Ballet. She was engaged by the Finnish National Ballet in 1986. She has performed major roles in many ballets, such as Alexei Ratmansky´s Anna Karenina (title role); Natalia Makarova’s La bayadère (Nikiya and Gamzatti); Sylvie Guillem’s Giselle (title role and Myrtha); Vladimir Bourmeister’s Swan Lake (Odette-Odile); Rudi van Dantzig’s Swan Lake (Odette-Odile); Kenneth Greve´s Swan Lake (Odette-Odile); John Cranko’s Onegin (Tatyana); Rudolf Nureyev’s Sleeping Beauty (title role); Anna-Marie Holmes’s Raymonda (title role); Etudes (Harald Lander); As You Like It: Celia (John Neumeier), Artus Sage: Ginevra (John Neumeier), The Seagull: Nina (John Neumeier), as well as in several ballets of George Balanchine. Major roles also in many contemporary works, among others by William  Forsythe, Ohad Naharin, Jirˇí Kylián, Mats Ek, Glen Tetley and Jorma Elo.

She has appeared abroad with the Finnish National Ballet at the Edinburgh Festival, in the USA and in Tallinn. She appeared as Myrtha in Giselle when the Finnish National Ballet visited the Châtelet Theatre in Paris with Sylvie Guillem in January 2001. She has also appeared at festivals and gala performances in Finland and abroad. She has also worked worked closely with the choreographer Robert Sher-Machherndl performing in Boulder, New York and Helsinki.

Minna Tervamäki received the Philip Morris Dance Flower Award  in 1997,  the Edvard Fazer award 2000 and Libris Award 2006, Imatra ballet gala recognition award 2009, The Finnish Musicians Union recognition award 2011, The Knight of the White Rose of Finland award 2011.

December 2005 she produced an evening in Almi hall  (National opera´s small stage) with three pieces. Her own choreography Something Else?, guest artist Virpi Pahkinen with her solo and a solo Labile (by Isira Makuloluwe) choreographed for Minna.



Minna Tervamäki has also acted as a hostess in ballet competitions,galas, fashion shows and happenings.
